Transition Services

Seaport Academy students develop the life skills needed to successfully transition to life after high school. Students practice various skills to prepare for postsecondary working, learning and living.

At Seaport, students have access to various transitional and vocational opportunities to explore their interests and potential career paths. Some vocational opportunities include welding, blacksmithing, sewing, painting, home maintenance or glassblowing. Students also have opportunities to prepare for post-secondary employment through career preparation, college exploration and/or vocational training guidance.

Additionally, students may attend a local community college while still at Seaport or be placed with our school-to-work partners or shadow professionals working in a field of interest.
